Into the Sun with a scanning back.

Image
Scanning back with no filtration, phase one 360 MP 125th of a second x 12000. Nikon 65 mm enlarging lens. I was exposing Polaroids here to, I wonder how they will compare. Its much easier with a scanning back and laptop, then carting around a bucket of water for the 665 Positive Negative film.

Scanning back and 65mm enlarging lens, 360mp

Using my Graflex 5x4 field and scanning back with no filtration, makes for a very sharp image with the old Nikon 65mm enlarging lens, but not quite enough coverage.

We took the children to Hanmer Springs for a break from the after shocks. As we know Hanmer is right on the main fault line that runs down the middle of the South Island. I worried constantly about a mirror shock happening . It would be a devastating quake here. Only felt a little one over the two days. We are still sleeping together in one room with the truck loaded up with escape equipment and survival gear. Every time a truck went by, my heart jumped a bit. Used my old Polaroid pack 100 camera, and type 665 pos neg film that expired in 1999. It still worked with a 3 minute exposure.

We are all a bit tired of these Earth Quakes.
